HOW TO: Import Your Blog Posts into Facebook Notes

For a long time I struggled to find out how to import my blog posts from TheCocktailCafe.com into my facebook account.  Well I’ve finally figured it out and decided to show fellow mom bloggers, WAHMs and small business owners how to maximize your message to your facebook friends, clients and followers here at ProMomBlogger.com

As a Social Media and Business Coach, I wanted to answer some of the questions that I get on a daily basis about how to increase online exposure and what better way than to start out with the place where most of your friends, family, and future clients are?

Facebook has a built-in way to display your posts and allow them to show as notes in your profile. After you log into your account:

1.Go to your Settings and drop down to “Application Settings”

Add Blog To Facebook Image 1

2. Edit your “Notes” application (or simply click the link)

3. Click the “Import Blog” button on the right

4. Type in your website feed URL and agree to the terms.

5. Click “Confirm Import” and you are well on your way

And that’s it! You will be given a preview of all your content and your done. Happy blogging and be sure to let me know if this post helps you in any way. I do appreciate and invite comments here and on twitter at @ProMomBlogger. Happy Blogging!

  • oh WOW,

thanks so very much Adalia. I hope that if you have a Social Media, Blogging and Online Marketing question you will keep it coming ok?
  • Your information is timely. I found you through one of your fans Malika, now you have another fan. Keep on Keeping on.
  • thanks so much for your support and please don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything that you'd like me to post/write about. Most mompreneurs like me find it really hard NOT to give the people what they want (lol)
  • This is a great post Rhea. I just have one question, don't I want people to go to my blog and subscribe to my feed? What incentive do they have to do so if all my posts show up on facebook?
  • This is a great question Golda and my answer. YES, of course you do want your potential customer, client, or fan to read your blog but when just starting out, its wise to share this information in the places they meet most. Facebook is the largest and most popular social networks online.

This is something I did to get the word out BUT there are ways that you can "link" and "send" you clients to your blog like having internal links to articles that are related to your current article but better if its written by you.
  • Hey Rhea,

Thanks for this post! Even as a facebook member for years i still struggle with some of the "how to" when it come to maximizing all the useful tools. I will be using this tip here today! I have another question too like: How do I add an html welcome to my fan page like this: http://www.facebook.com/beproductive ?

I want one like this of my own.
  • I just figured out how to do this and its called the Static FBLM application. Just check out my newly designed fanpage to see what I mean at: http://www.facebook.com/ProMomBlogger

I will admit though that your HTML has to be on point.
  • Hello there Tammy (my "prettyselfish" friend) and thanks so much for the wonderful comment. I'll be sure to check out Network Blogs Application and put together a wonderful how-to for those that are interested.

As my very first comment, I will be sure to dedicate my next post to you my friend. Please keep coming back. There is so much more to come.
  • I'm technically challenged so I love it when the steps are spelled out explicit. I really appreciate this post and wanted to add some info about the Network Blogs application of Facebook. For exposure it is awesome. It updates your blogs, people can follow your blog from Facebook or from a widget you put on your site. It also helps to connect to other bloggers.
